Sydney Copwatch is the name of a group of people concerned about the police and their lack of accountability. With a State government promoting a "law and order" agenda and an Ombudsman's office too eager to accept police assurances that police investigating other police can be satisfactory, there is no effective accountability over thousands of aggressive and violence-prone individuals. We are looking for imaginative and interesting ways to make the police more accountable and to campaign to highlight police misbehaviour.
